Feb 25, 2021 #1. I have a non starting 2008 daily 2.3, the fault code is 251 fuel pressure, positive deviation, it tries to start and it feels like fuel starvation, the van originally had a leaky high pressure pump which was replaced by an alleged iveco technician, it would start up but would cut out when accelerating if you lifted off throttle
I use BP through a fuel card - the bunker rate just now is about £1.41 for BP diesel. BTW don't trust the wee MPG readout on the speedo - it is registering 32-34 MPG, but brim-to-brim mileage says 30-32 MPG. You thinking of changing to a new Iveco? Your Mk 2 looks great for its age!
High productivity with real fuel efficiency and an optimized total cost of ownership are the key characteristics of the new IVECO S-WAY, the ideal vehicle for long-distance missions and the perfect business solution for fleets, thanks to improved performances and reduced fuel use: up to 3% less.
The IVECO Daily are powered by a 140bhp 2.3-litre diesel engine, balancing good fuel economy with a strong 370Nm of torque. Many of these vehicles will be working with construction and utility companies, so taking advantage of the IVECO Daily’s new durable manual gearbox was an ideal choice.
